One in five Texas business owners in our latest survey say they have had an employee deported in the past year. Seven in ten say tariffs have hit their business. Those findings are the basis of a feature published today in Politico.
We surveyed 1,012 Texas based USHBC members between June 2 and 15, across construction, food services, retail, and manufacturing. Seventy percent hold a negative view of the immigration raids affecting the workforce. As Javier Palomarez told Politico, losing even one worker from a small team can shake the morale and stability of the whole operation.
