Affordability and Small Business: What the Latest Voter and Business Data Shows
A recent commentary examining affordability trends among Black and Brown voters referenced new data from the United States Hispanic Business Council (USHBC) highlighting the economic pressures facing Latino entrepreneurs.
According to USHBC findings cited in the article, 42% of Latino business owners say economic conditions have worsened for them under the current administration. Rising costs, inflationary pressure, and ongoing challenges accessing affordable capital continue to strain small business operations nationwide.
For Hispanic-owned businesses, many of which operate in construction, transportation, manufacturing, and service industries, higher input costs and tighter credit markets directly affect growth, hiring, and long-term stability.
