Violet’s Paradise

It started with a glass of wine and turned into a conversation we didn't want to end.

Brenae Royal was pouring her debut collection at USHBC's Spring event in Washington, DC, and within a few minutes it was clear her story ran a lot deeper than the bottle in her hand.

As the Founder and CEO of Violet's Paradise Wines, Brenae has built a brand rooted in stewardship and craft. Before launching her own label, she spent more than a decade working in Northern California vineyards, developing a deep respect for the land and the people who bring each harvest to life.

Violet’s Paradise Wines launched in 2024 as Brenae’s debut collection, centered on her belief that excellent wine begins in the soil. The wines are farmed from the historic Monte Rosso Vineyard in Sonoma County, home to some of the oldest vines in California, and they carry the complexity and character of that site.

She grew up in the San Joaquin Valley, where family encouraged her to pay attention to the land and the seasons that shape it. She later studied Crops and Horticulture Science at California State University, Chico, which gave her the technical grounding she'd build her career on.

She went on to manage thousands of vineyard acres across Sonoma and Napa, including a long run as vineyard manager at Monte Rosso. While there, she led the vineyard's transition to organic certification, work that took years and shaped how she thinks about farming for the long haul.

That experience gave her more than expertise. It gave her a vision for what her own label could be.

Violet's Paradise is that vision in bottle form: a grower-led brand that treats farming and winemaking as the same craft. Reflecting Brenae's belief that the work in the vineyard and the work in the glass are connected, and her hope is that her path opens doors for the next generation of growers coming up behind her.

Brenae Royal is the kind of entrepreneur who turns years of hands on experience into something her own. Her work is grounded in the land, and she's built her brand with the same patience that vineyard work demands.

At the United States Hispanic Business Council, we're proud to feature Brenae Royal, whose work is a reminder that small businesses get built by people who put in the time and have the discipline to see it through.
