The U.S. Hispanic Business Council (USHBC), a leading nonpartisan voice for Latino entrepreneurship, is once again shaping the national conversation. In a powerful new article from Latin American Post, USHBC President & CEO Javier Palomarez delivers a clear eyed assessment of the growing economic frustration among Hispanic business owners, many of whom backed Donald Trump in 2024 based on promises of economic prosperity and immigration reform.

The article, which features findings from a recent USHBC survey, reveals a stark shift in sentiment: 42% of Hispanic business owners say their economic situation has worsened, while more than 70% rank cost of living as a top national concern. Palomarez, whose leadership continues to place USHBC at the forefront of economic advocacy, emphasizes that many Latino entrepreneurs feel “let down” by policies that have failed to address their daily business realities, from rising prices and tariffs to immigration enforcement disrupting communities.

As Latino voters emerge as a critical swing constituency, this article underscores the importance of listening to small business voices, not just during campaigns, but in policymaking that affects storefronts, supply chains, and paychecks.
